Found, Meursault and Panda Su

Those lovely people at Ten Tracks booked a stormer for us upstairs in the main hall at the Roxy. Found have been away to Hamburg, and in the process lost a drummer and picked up a Hofner violin bass. Nothing like that has ever happened before. Neil from Meursault performed solo, making more than enough noise to fill the cavernous hall, while new-ones-on-me Panda Su got the evening off to a sparkling start.

Oxfam Charity Baw

Featuring The Parsonage, Withered Hand, Aberfeldy, Meursault and Come On Gang!

One of the evening’s highlights for me was definitely Scott‘s karaoke version of Boombastic by Shaggy, but that’s a whole different story. Long before the night disintegrated into drunken caterwauling we were treated to some brilliant music from a glittering galaxy of stars, and it was all for charity. As you can see I managed to get some shots of The Parsonage, Withered Hand, Aberfeldy, Meursault and Come On Gang!, but there was even more on the bill that I missed. A great line-up, a fantastic night, well done to all concerned!

Oxfam Instore Appearance

Oxjam 2009

Neil Pennycook and Scott Hutchison, of Meursault and Frightened Rabbit respectively, launched this year’s Oxjam Festival with a very special collaborative instore show at the Oxfam shop on the Royal Mile. Dozens of fans were crammed into the tiny store to enjoy the show, which got the day off to a splendid start.
